About

About….?  About what?  So interesting to contemplate!  I guess I’m supposed to write something about who we are, what we are, how we are, and why we are.  But I’m thinking that if you’re here from the Lazy B Farm website, you already know the “about” and now I’m wasting your time – would that be true?

Anyway, if this is your first time to be introduced to us, I suppose I should be courteous and answer those inquisitive curiosities otherwise you wouldn’t have come to the “about“!

I’ve been married for 24 years to my wonderful husband and together we have 6 children.  I’ve homeschooled all of them and the oldest 2 are in college.  I love my family  – a lot.  I also love homesteading and we’ve been doing it for many, many years.  We moved to GA in Dec. of ’02 and became official homesteaders, not that animals and land give credibility to a homesteader.  But it sure helps – especially if you can keep the animals alive!

So there you go – there’s the about!  If you want to know more about a large family and all it’s quirkiness or about all the joys and frustrations of homeschooling or about homesteading and all the mistakes I’ve made or about our day to day antics and activities then you’re at the right blog and we hope you stay!!  Welcome!

Hi! Just found your blog/website thru A Holy Experience.

Where are in GA? (I understand if you don’t want to say city!) We’re in NEGA.

I just wanted to leave a quick note thanking you for sharing. We just got baby chicks (our first batch of chickens) and we have four, 1 yr old Peking ducks ( momma is currently sitting on 7 eggs!) they are due to hatch around the middle of this month. We live in NYS so we maple sugar each spring, have a decent garden in the summer (I freeze and can a lot of the veggies). We are slowing growing into a small farm – lol.

I’m enjoying your blog so much that I linked to it from my pollinator blog. I especially like your ongoing comments about beneficials.

Did you see the photos I took on assassin bugs?
